Absentee Voting By Mail for 2024 General Election

If you are a Military Voter, spouse or family member of a Military Voter, or an overseas voter, please refer to the Military & Overseas Voters’ Guide.

If you are a registered voter in the State of Indiana you can submit an ABS-MAIL, ABS-POR CORREO, or ABS-TRAVELING BOARD application by clicking the “Visit My Voter Portal” button below, entering your registration information exactly as it appears on your current voter registration, and clicking Absentee Voting in the gray sidebar when on your portal page. (NOTE: Voters will be asked to opt-in to Two-Factor Authentication or, if already enrolled, enter their 2FA credentials, before accessing their personalized voter portal page)

When You Receive the Mail-In Ballot

You will receive a large brown envelope containing these materials:

  1. The Absentee Voter’s Bill of Rights
  2. Absentee Voting Instructions
  3. Official Ballot Listing with names and numbers of candidates
  4. White Secrecy Folder
  5. Ballot Card with numbered ovals that must be filled in for each of your candidate choices. (The Ballot Card must have the initials of the poll workers who sent you the ballot on the back. It will have some filled-in ovals on the bottom of the front that you are not to alter.)
  6. White Return Envelope that must be signed by you before you return your voted ballot

Vote your mail-in ballot immediately on receipt

  • The Return Envelope can be sent by mail. Allow sufficient time for it to be delivered to the County Clerk’s Office before NOON on Election Day. It will not be counted if it is received after noon on Election Day or if it is not signed by the voter on the front of the white return envelope.
  • You may deliver the voted ballot directly to the County Clerk at the Justice Building located at 121 N. Lake Street, Warsaw. If you deliver someone else’s voted ballot, you must complete this form:
