Vote for a Tree!

It is with deep sadness that I report that we have had a death in our Democratic family. On December 28th, former Kosciusko County Democratic Party Treasurer Joe Rauen suffered a stroke and unfortunately passed away on Monday.
Joe served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime member of the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post #257 and the Angola VFW.
In 2006, Joe ran for State Representative in opposition to the sale of the Indiana toll road. Despite running in a very heavily Republican district, “Toll Road Joe” received 45% of the vote.
The Kosciusko County Democrats send our deepest condolences to Joe’s wife Nora, and the rest of the Rauen family. You can read Joe’s full obituary online here.

Come hear our candidates for Municipal office speak about their vision for how to improve local government.
Both area State Senators voted to gut the Hate Crimes bill even Gov. Holcomb supports. Ryan Mishler for State Senate and Blake Doriot, State Senator – District 12.
Contact your representatives and urge them to vote NO on this watered-down bill! It is likely that the courts will rule that this version of the bill is too vague to be used in prosecution.
