VOTER REGISTRATION ENDS ON MONDAY, October 7, 2024 FOR THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION ON November 5, 2024

Indiana conducted a voter list maintenance operation in 2023 that resulted in thousands of voters receiving an “inactive” status. Inactive voters will have their registration cancelled if the voter fails to vote in any election in 2023, 2024, or 2025.

Everyone can check their voter registration status by visiting the Indiana Voters Portal.

How to Register to Vote

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE October 7, 2024 for 2024 General Election

Note: This information only applies to eligible voters living in Indiana.

Online Registration
The State of Indiana allows online voter registration for those who possess a valid Indiana driver’s license or state identification card issued by the Indiana BMV. This is the easiest and fastest way to register to vote. You can complete your online application at www.indianavoters.com. This site will also confirm your voter registration, find your polling location, and show you who is on your ballot.

In-Person Voter Registration
Registration  may be done at the County Clerk’s office in the Kosciusko County Justice Building, main floor.

Paper Voter Registration Form
Due to burdensome requirements with Indiana’s state voter registration form, courtesy of the Indiana GOP, the Indiana Democratic Party uses the federal voter registration form when registering voters. The Party encourages everyone to use the federal voter registration form, including volunteers who are out in their communities registering voters.

Here are a few notes about using the federal voter registration form. First, this form registers you to vote for all elections, not just federal elections. Second, the form must be accepted by your county clerk’s office or the Indiana Election Division, assuming it is filled out correctly. Third, be sure to follow our state’s specific instructions on page 13 of the booklet (page 8 is the document number) to ensure you fill out the form correctly. Lastly, you only need to complete and mail in the form itself, which is page 4 of the document, not the entire booklet of information.

Completed Voter Registration Forms should be mailed to:
Indiana Election Division
302 West Washington Street, Room E-204
Indianapolis, IN 46204-2743

Spanish Voter Registration Forms
The federal voter registration form is available in 21 languages. The Spanish language version can be obtained by clicking here.
